The assignment is asking me to get more familiar with the writing that would typically be done in my field of study by looking over several forms of writing that could be used in my field. It asks me that I write a report in a slightly different way than I would write in previous classes. In previous reports there would be side that I would need to take on the situation, but in this report, I am simply making observations on how people in engineering write when going through both academic and non-academic mediums.
Questions/Confusions:
- Do we have to interview someone that's in our exact field or can it be someone that is in a relating field of work?
- How do professionals write non-academic works about their field when they are the most credible source of information on their respective field?
- What is the difference between an academic and non-academic report?
